Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 19, 2026
ProxyCash ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ProxyCash mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Phone Number — used for account registration and OTP verification via Firebase Authentication.
- UPI ID — provided when you request a withdrawal of your earnings.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information — device model, Android version, carrier/network operator, and unique device identifiers for managing proxy connections.
- IP Address — your device's public IP address is collected to route proxy traffic.
- Bandwidth Usage — we track data transmitted through the proxy service to calculate earnings.
- Connection Metrics — uptime, connection quality, latency, and heartbeat data to ensure service reliability.
- Firebase Analytics — screen views, app events, and crash reports via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- FCM Token — Firebase Cloud Messaging token for sending push notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To operate the proxy service and route traffic through your device's mobile network.
- To calculate and credit your earnings based on bandwidth shared and uptime.
- To process withdrawal requests to your UPI ID.
- To monitor service health, detect abuse, and maintain quality of the proxy network.
- To send push notifications about earnings, tasks, and app updates.
- To diagnose technical issues and improve app performance via crash reports.
3. How the Proxy Service Works
When you enable the proxy service, your device acts as a residential proxy endpoint. Internet traffic from our business customers is routed through your device's mobile data connection. We do not monitor, log, or store the content of traffic passing through your device. Only metadata (bandwidth used, connection duration, timestamps) is recorded for earnings calculation.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Firebase (Google) — for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging, and remote configuration.
- Payment Processors — UPI ID shared with payment services to process withdrawals.
- Law Enforcement — if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
We do not share your phone number, device information, or IP address with our proxy customers. Business customers only see a residential IP address with no link to your identity.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Account data is stored in MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest and in transit.
- Authentication is handled by Firebase with industry-standard security.
- API communication uses JWT tokens with 30-day expiry.
- We implement rate limiting, input sanitization, and CORS restrictions to protect against attacks.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you deactivate your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored with us.
- Correct inaccurate information in your account.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent and stop sharing your network at any time by toggling off the proxy service.
8. Children's Privacy
ProxyCash is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
9. Permissions Used
- Internet Access — required for proxy service and API communication.
- Foreground Service — to keep the proxy running reliably in the background.
- Boot Completed — to auto-start the proxy service after device restart (if enabled).
- Network State — to detect connectivity changes and carrier information.
- Battery Optimization Exemption — to prevent the OS from killing the proxy service.
- Install Packages — for in-app updates.
10. Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
